Jamie Sellar APFS
Chartered Financial Planner
About me
After studying Economics at the University of Birmingham, like many people, I left with no idea of what I wanted to do. You could say that I fell into the financial services industry, with my first job being a part time administration role for maternity cover within a financial advice firm. I quickly made an impression and became a paraplanner providing support to the firm’s 2 advisers.
After gaining experience paraplanning I decided to move on and eventually ended up working for a local firm in Buckinghamshire which went on to be bought by the national firm, Fairstone Financial Management. After a few more years paraplanning, it was in 2018 I became an independent financial adviser at Fairstone and subsequently a Chartered Financial Planner on attaining the level 6 CII Advanced Diploma qualification.
In July 2022 I joined Kubera Wealth as a Chartered Financial Planner where I am excited to be able to provide clients with a holistic life and financial plan allowing them to achieve their dreams and aspirations.
I live with my partner Jess in our first home which we moved into back in the summer of 2021. We love to travel and recently came back from an 18-day trip exploring the West Coast of the USA. Next on the list is a friends’ wedding and a safari in Kenya with further travelling planned over the next couple of years.
I am also a keen sports enthusiast. I still manage to turn up weekly for indoor football and I have recently taken up golf which I can only describe as the most frustrating sport in the world.
