Michelle Bye
Business Manager
About me
With over 25 years of experience in Financial Services, my journey began in 2000 at a local Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) firm. Joining at an early stage gave me invaluable insight into every aspect of the business as it grew. From managing client events and driving business development to overseeing key projects, I gained a well-rounded perspective on what makes a firm thrive.
In 2014, I transitioned to another IFA firm as Executive Assistant to the Principal, where I played a pivotal role in managing an acquisition project that successfully integrated the practice into a national IFA firm. This led to an opportunity to join the national firm, where I worked alongside the Head of Learning & Development to establish an L&D function. Our team supported over 600 colleagues across the country, embedding a culture of learning aligned with commercial objectives and client needs.
In 2020, the pandemic prompted a career reset, ultimately leading me to Kubera Wealth. As Business Manager, I focus on ensuring the seamless operation of our internal functions, enabling our team to deliver exceptional service and care to our clients. A key part of my role also involves creating and collaborating with professionals across the private client sector, including lawyers, accountants, mortgage and insurance brokers and tax specialists. By working together, we provide holistic, well-rounded advice that not only protects our clients’ wealth but also helps them achieve their wider life and legacy goals.
Outside of work, I’m married to Paul and a proud mum to two grown up sons. I also wear the coveted title of “Nanny” to my granddaughter, Florence (Flo), who keeps me on my toes, though I’m always happy to hand her back at the end of the day! When I’m not with family and friends, you’ll likely find me exploring the UK in our motorhome, discovering coastal gems where our two Hungarian Vizslas can run free and soak up the sea air.
